In happier news, Chicago native Jennifer Beals, who is in town taping episodes of the upcoming new Fox cop series The Chicago Code (formerly Ride Along), has been named the Grand Marshal of the McDonald's Thanksgiving Day Parade, kicking off Thanksgiving morning on State Street at 8 a.m.
